Stuck isn’t the same as broken.
Sometimes the life we’ve built stops feeling like the life we want to inhabit. I work with adults who want to understand what feels stuck, the patterns beneath it, and what may need to change.
My Approach
I work psychodynamically, which means we pay attention not only to what is happening now, but to the patterns, relationships and earlier experiences that may have shaped how you understand yourself and other people.
Therapy is not about reducing you to a diagnosis or offering a quick solution. It is a place to become more curious about what repeats, what feels difficult to change, and what may be happening beneath the surface.
Therapy is a place to become curious.
We often develop ways of coping for good reasons. But patterns that once helped us can eventually leave us feeling stuck. In therapy, we can begin to understand how those patterns developed, where they continue to appear, and what it might mean to relate to yourself and others differently.
In-person and virtual therapy
I see clients in person in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, as well as virtually across New York State.
Sessions are available through Transcendent Self Therapy.
Areas of Focus
Therapy for Men
A space to think more openly about relationships, work, identity, anger, loneliness, fatherhood, or the sense that something simply isn’t working.
There are many reasons people begin therapy. These are some of the concerns I work with most often.
Relationships
We can look at the patterns that keep recurring in relationships, and the expectations, fears and habits that may be shaping them.
Work, Burnout & Career Change
When work no longer feels sustainable or meaningful, therapy can help untangle questions of identity, ambition, exhaustion and change.
Depression & Anxiety
Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we can explore what may be happening underneath them and why certain feelings or patterns persist.
About Anthony.
I came to psychotherapy after an earlier career in advertising and brand strategy, and I’m particularly interested in the moments when the life we’ve built no longer quite fits. My work is psychodynamic and relational, with a focus on understanding the patterns beneath anxiety, relationship difficulties, burnout and questions of identity or direction.
